Peter John Wagner II (built-in Oct 3, 1959) is an American actor and singer, best known for his roles on the soap operas General Hospital, Santa Barbara, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Melrose Identify.
Early life [edit]
Wagner was born in Washington, Missouri. Raised equally a Catholic, he attended St. Gertrude'southward parochial school and St. Francis Borgia Regional High Schoolhouse in his hometown, where he played football and basketball. In 2012, Wagner was a contestant on season 14 of Dancing with the Stars, partnered with professional dancer Anna Trebunskaya.[ten] They were eliminated from the competition on April 3, 2012, placing 11th.

Wagner has recorded 6 albums. In 1985, he topped the Billboard charts with the ballad "All I Need". The single reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hitting #1 on the Adult Contemporary nautical chart.

Although Wagner had been playing the guitar since he was xiv, his initial audition for the office of Frisco Jones on General Hospital with producer Gloria Monty did not include any singing.[15] Wagner had five auditions with ABC before ultimately winning the role of Frisco Jones. His last audition in 1983 included performing the Kenny Loggins song "Wait a Picayune While".[sixteen] [17] ABC musical honcho Kelli Ross hooked Wagner up with her skilful friend in legendary producer Quincy Jones[sixteen] who oversaw his initial five vocal EP All I Demand. Eventually, they would release a full 10 song LP of All I Need once the vocal "All I Need" began to rise up the charts. Quincy Jones protégés Glen Ballard and Clif Magness produced Wagner's commencement ii albums on Qwest Records/Warner Brothers. Wagner'southward singing talents led him to appearances on American Bandstand, Solid Gold, Soul Train and The Merv Griffin Show.[fifteen]

Personal life [edit]
Wagner was married to actress Kristina Wagner, who played reverse him on Full general Infirmary every bit his dearest interest Felicia Cummings. Subsequently marital troubles they filed for divorce and it was finalized in 2006.[20]

Wagner as well won the Missouri inferior college championship in 1980, and at one bespeak considered a career in pro golf game.[xv] He has a Glory Golf Classic named after him that raises funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Wagner created the event to back up the Social club's mission to cure such cancers equally leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's illness, and myeloma, and to better the quality of life of patients and their families. The Golf Classic raised more than $600,000 in its first two years to fund critical cancer enquiry and patient services.[29]
